Tutor jobs in the Philippines, part-time and on your own hours

Tutor jobs in the Philippines with Eduline are part-time and one to one: you teach a single learner at their home or online, on the DepEd curriculum from Kinder to Grade 12 or college entrance review. You set your availability; every placement comes with its hourly rate stated before you accept it.

What Is Eduline Tutor?

An Eduline tutor teaches one learner at a time, at the learner's home or online. You tell us the subjects and grade levels you can teach and the hours you are free; we send you placements that fit, each with its hourly rate stated before you decide. A person on our team reads your application and pairs you with each learner by hand, so you never sit in a directory or bid against other tutors.

  • One learner per session, on the DepEd curriculum they are actually on
  • You set your availability, and only see placements that fit it
  • The rate for a placement is stated before you accept it
  • No application fee, no training fee, no deposit, ever
  • A valid government ID, proof of your qualification, and an NBI clearance before your first placement
  • Ask for a re-match whenever a placement stops suiting you, and we pair you with another learner

Benefits

Benefits of Being an Eduline Tutor

Why tutors choose to join us

You set the schedule

Tell us the hours you can teach and we only send you placements that fit them. Nobody is assigned a session they did not agree to.

The rate is agreed before you accept

Every placement comes with its hourly rate stated up front, and you decide whether to take it. The rate follows the subject, the level and the setting of that placement, and you can ask for the current rates in your subjects when you apply.

A person on the team matches you

We read what you can teach and who you teach well, and send you learners who fit. You are not a listing in a directory waiting to be found.

No fee to apply, ever

No application fee, no training fee, no deposit. Any tutoring service that asks a tutor to pay before they can start earning is worth walking away from.

We handle the awkward conversations

Rescheduling, a request for more hours than were agreed, a learner who has stopped turning up. You teach; we deal with the rest.

Your voice shapes the work

Eduline tutors help set how placements, briefings and progress updates run. What works in your sessions feeds straight into how the next learner is served.

How to Join?

Five simple steps to start tutoring with Eduline

1

Apply

One form: who you are, what you teach, which levels, and when you are free. It takes a few minutes and costs nothing.

2

Send your documents

A valid government ID, your diploma or transcript, and your PRC license if you are a licensed teacher. We ask for an NBI clearance before your first placement.

3

Talk to us

A conversation, online or by phone, about the subjects and levels you actually want to teach. We would rather find that out here than in front of a learner.

4

Get your first placement

We send you a learner who fits, with the subject, level, schedule and rate. You accept it or you do not.

5

Teach

You meet the learner (and, for a young child, the parent or guardian who enrolled them), agree the plan, and start. Either side can ask for a re-match at any time, and we pair both again.

Pay

How you get paid

Every placement arrives with its own rate. Here is how pay works.

The rate comes with the placement

When we offer you a learner, the offer states the hourly rate for that placement, subject, level and setting included. You see the figure before you accept, well ahead of your first session with the learner.

You decide whether to take it

Declining a placement costs you nothing and does not affect what we send you next. There is no ranking to fall down.

Nothing is deducted to join

No application fee, no training fee, no deposit, no charge for materials. If a tutoring service asks you to pay before you can start earning, walk away from it.

Rates set per placement

Each rate is built from the subject, the grade level and the setting of that one placement, which is why it arrives inside the offer. Ask when you apply and we tell you the rates on offer for your subjects that week.

The hourly rate for every Eduline placement is the one written in that placement offer.

Requirements

What we ask for

Six things we check, with a PRC licence as a welcome extra

Subject depth

You can teach the subject at the level you are applying for. A degree in the field for academic subjects, or working experience for Senior High electives and coding. Undergraduates are considered for elementary levels.

Identity and clearance

A valid Philippine government ID and proof of your qualification, plus an NBI clearance before your first placement. Every tutor clears this step, since you will sit beside learners in their own homes, many of them minors.

Patience with a learner who is behind

Most learners come to us because something is not working. The skill we look for is the patience to explain one idea a second and a third way, each time from a fresh angle.

Hours you can actually keep

There is no minimum. Once you accept a placement, a learner plans their week around your sessions, so give us the hours you can keep every single week.

A usable connection

A phone and internet for coordination, and something you can teach from if you take online placements. A laptop helps but is not required for every subject.

Willingness to follow the curriculum

MATATAG is mid-rollout and the Senior High strands have just been replaced by elective clusters, so Grade 9 and Grade 10 are not on the same curriculum this year. You teach the one the learner is actually on.
