Online UPCAT Reviewer Jobs Philippines: Timed Mocks Over a Call

Online UPCAT reviewer jobs, Philippines: a part-time Eduline role, run entirely by video call, where you time mock sections for Grade 12 learners preparing for the UPCAT, ACET, DCAT and USTET. You may apply from the Philippines or another network country. The UPCAT itself runs about five hours across four subtests. Applying costs nothing.

Running a timed mock test from a distance

An online UPCAT reviewer opens a call with one Grade 12 learner, agrees on the section for the day, and starts the clock. The learner's camera points down at the desk so you can see the test booklet, the scratch paper and the answer sheet while they work. When time runs out, both of you stop, and the rest of the session goes to the items that were missed, guessed or left blank.

This role is online only, and the exam room is rebuilt through a camera. The UPCAT, the ACET, the USTET and the PUPCET are all taken in person, the UPCAT and the ACET on paper, so the mock copies paper conditions at home. The learner shades a printed answer sheet, then photographs or scans it the moment the section closes and sends it to you for checking. For UPCAT and ACET sets, the calculator stays off the desk, because both universities ban calculating devices on test day.

This online role suits a Filipino graduate who sat the UPCAT, ACET, DCAT or USTET years ago and now lives abroad. The PSA counted about 2.19 million overseas Filipino workers in 2024, the UAE alone holding 12.4 percent of them, and the review work travels with you to any network country. Your own morning in the testing room helps on a call: you can describe the permit check, the long sitting and the pencil-only desk to a learner who has never seen one. The content plan still comes from what each university publishes this cycle, because tests shift over the years; Ateneo, for one, says the number of ACET questions changes from year to year.

Target schools change the mix. The UPCAT has four subtests, with language proficiency and reading comprehension in both English and Filipino, while the ACET has no Filipino section and adds an essay. A learner aiming at both works Filipino passages one week and a timed handwritten essay the next. The size of the field shows in UP's own count: for AY 2026-2027, 147,437 examinees sat the UPCAT and 18,350 qualified.

Camera etiquette during a mock is set in the first session and kept every time. The desk view shows both hands and the paper; the learner's phone sits face down out of reach, matching the UPCAT ban on phones; and the timer runs on your shared screen, so the learner reads the minutes left the way they would glance at a proctor's board. Your microphone stays muted until time is called.

Each finished mock leaves a pattern, and reading it plans the following week. Note where the misses cluster: the last third of a section usually points to pacing, a single topic spread across the paper points to content, and blanks beside correct work point to shading or confidence. Next week gets one drill for the weakest pattern and one full section to check it moved.

Reviewing across a clock difference comes down to a few habits. Every offer sets its session times in Philippine time; you convert them once to your own clock and keep that conversion in your calendar. The countdown on your shared screen counts the minutes left in the section, so a mock runs its proper length wherever each of you sits. A full UPCAT rehearsal takes about five hours, which seldom fits one weekday evening across two clocks, so the long sitting moves to a weekend morning or splits into single subtests over several calls. When a learner works a section offline between calls, the marked sheet is back in their inbox before the next session opens.

A photo or scan of a shaded sheet can be marked only when it shows everything you need. Ask for the whole sheet with all four corners in frame, shot flat from above under even light, with no shadow from the phone across the circles. Every item number has to be readable beside its row, so each shaded circle matches its question with no guesswork. Before shooting, the learner writes the section name and the start and stop times at the top, then photographs the scratch paper beside the sheet, so you can see where the working went off track. A half-erased mark or a circle shaded past its line shows up on a sharp image, and those are the slips worth catching months before the real sheet.

The review calendar for this cycle

Each test sits in its own season, and a reviewer counts the weeks back from it. These are the AY 2027-2028 dates the universities published.

  • UPCAT, 1 to 2 August 2026

Applications opened on 3 March 2026, in the learner's Grade 11, so UPCAT review starts in Grade 11 and peaks over the school break. The last weeks before the test go to full four-subtest mocks that build the stamina for a five-hour sitting.

  • DCAT, September to December 2026

DLSU runs provincial sittings from 5 September to 24 October, the Manila campus test on 8 November, Laguna on 6 December, and online sittings on 27 November, 4 and 11 December, open to local and international applicants, each after a required morning Mock Online Test two days earlier. Sessions before an online sitting rehearse camera setup, a quiet room and the learner's own screen.

  • ACET, 16 January 2027

Ateneo's calendar, accurate as of 16 October 2026, sets the Metro Manila sitting on 16 January 2027 and provincial sittings on 23 or 30 January, with application completion due 12 December 2026. December goes to timed essays, calculator-free math and abstract reasoning.

  • USTET, from the learner's assigned date

UST opened college applications on 8 August 2026 and tests at UST Manila and Colegio de San Juan de Letran, where the gates close at 7:15 AM. The plan counts back from the learner's own USTET date, and the last few mocks start early in the morning so the learner is used to solving at that hour.

Review tasks you run in a typical week

These are the pieces of the job an online reviewer handles most, each shaped by how the real tests are given.

  • Timed section mocks

One subtest per sitting under a strict clock, with the camera on the desk and a full check of every missed item once time is up.

  • Answer sheet checks from photos

The learner photographs a shaded sheet right after the section; you mark it, spot shading slips, and return the corrections on a shared screen.

  • Filipino language and reading

UPCAT reading comprehension and language proficiency run in both Filipino and English, so a reviewer covers passages in each.

  • ACET essay and calculator-free math

The learner writes the essay by hand under time, sends a photo, and you comment line by line; math sets are done without a calculator.

What an online entrance exam reviewer needs

Strong content knowledge matters as much as a steady connection and a firm hand on the clock.

  • A solid grasp of the subtest areas you teach: math, science, English, Filipino, reading comprehension or abstract reasoning.
  • A laptop or desktop with a working camera, a headset, and an internet connection that holds a full timed section without dropping.
  • A countdown timer you can show on a shared screen, and the habit of keeping your microphone muted while a section runs.
  • The discipline to keep a strict clock and to explain each missed item clearly once the section ends.
  • The ability to read and mark shaded answer sheets from a photo or scan sent by the learner.
  • Free weekday evenings or weekends across the season, which this cycle runs from the August UPCAT to the January ACET.
  • A valid government ID, along with the TOR or diploma from your last school. Reviewers need no PRC license.
  • A home in the Philippines or another network country, a list that reaches from Kenya and Egypt through Qatar, the UAE and India to Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Singapore and Malaysia share Manila's clock, while the UAE runs four hours behind it and Qatar five, so a 7 PM session in Manila starts at 3 PM in Dubai.
  • NBI clearance before your first mock section with a learner, if you live in the Philippines.

When you see the rate for a review placement

Each placement offer names its hourly rate up front, and the choice is yours after reading the subject, level and schedule. The rate depends on the subject reviewed, the grade level of the learner and the online setting of the sessions.

An offer for UPCAT, ACET or DCAT preparation spells out its rate beside the exam focus and session times, so you know exactly what you are accepting before the first one starts.

From application to your first review learner

  1. 1

Name the tests you can review

Introduce yourself, list the subtest areas and entrance exams you review, the country you live in, and the evening or weekend hours you can keep free.

  2. 2

Scan the papers behind your application

Scan your government ID and your TOR or diploma; licensed teachers attach the PRC card as well.

  3. 3

    A call about your subtests

A video chat about the exams and subjects you cover, with a person who matches reviewers to learners.

  4. 4

    Take on a first reviewee

An offer brings the exam focus, level, session times and hourly rate. The placement begins once you accept it, with NBI clearance in hand for reviewers living in the Philippines.

Questions from online UPCAT reviewer applicants

Which entrance exams besides the UPCAT will I help learners prepare for?

Learners often list several schools in one season, so the ACET, DCAT, USTET and PUPCET sit beside the UPCAT on many review plans. Your application names the tests you can cover, and each offer states the exam focus for that learner before you accept it.

How does a mock work online when the real test is on paper?

The learner prints the answer sheet, shades it during the timed section with the camera on the desk, then photographs or scans it as soon as time is called. You check it, point out wrong shading as well as wrong answers, and walk through the misses together.

Will the learners I review all be in the Philippines?

Learners can be anywhere a video call reaches. DepEd reported reaching more than 23,000 students in 27 Philippine Schools Overseas in the Middle East, and all 27 moved to remote learning in March 2026. DLSU opens its online DCAT sittings to international applicants and lists no DCAT venue abroad, so a learner in the Gulf rehearses that online sitting from home with you.

Do I need a pen tablet or a second camera?

The camera that matters most is the learner's, pointed down at the desk. On your side, a laptop camera and a headset carry the call. A pen tablet makes marking a photographed sheet on screen quicker, and a mouse does the same job at a slower pace.

Can I review for an exam I never took myself?

Yes. The UPCAT can be taken only once and each university writes its own test, so reviewers teach from the published rules and the content each test samples: the UPCAT subtests in English and Filipino, the ACET essay and abstract reasoning, and calculator-free math for both.

How do learners fit review around their school term?

DepEd's SY 2026-2027 calendar opened on 8 June 2026 and closes on 8 April 2027, split into three terms, so review shares each week with term assessments. Review slots are fixed around those assessment weeks, and every offer states its session times before you accept.

What happens to a review placement after the test day?

A placement follows the learner's list of tests, so a learner who finishes the DCAT in December often continues into ACET review for January. When the last test is done, the placement closes. If you ask to move to a different learner at any point, the team re-matches you, and a learner who asks for a new reviewer gets one free of charge.
