Academic Tutor Philippines for Every DepEd Subject, Kinder to Grade 12
Academic tutoring in the Philippines with Eduline covers every subject on a learner's DepEd report card, Kinder to Grade 12: Mathematics, Science, English, Filipino, Araling Panlipunan, GMRC and Values Education, and Christian Living where the school teaches it. In SY 2026-2027, Kinder to Grade 9 run on MATATAG and Grade 10 on the older curriculum.

Two languages carry the school day
From Grade 4, Mathematics and Science are taught and tested in English, while Filipino, and in many schools Araling Panlipunan and Values Education, run in Filipino. A child can understand a lesson well in one language and lose the points when the answer must be written in the other.
So a low grade often points somewhere unexpected. Falling Science grades can come from English vocabulary; a weak AP paper can come from academic Filipino, a register far from the Filipino spoken at home. The first session reads papers from several subjects, so the help goes where the trouble starts.
Which curriculum each grade is on in SY 2026-2027
In SY 2026-2027, Kindergarten to Grade 9 are on DepEd's MATATAG curriculum, and Grade 10 stays on the older MELC-based curriculum until SY 2027-2028. A tutor who prepares a Grade 10 learner from Grade 9 competencies is preparing for an assessment that will never be given.
Learners entering Grade 11 from June 2026 follow the Strengthened Senior High School Curriculum. The STEM, ABM, HUMSS and GAS strands are gone, and five core subjects apply to everyone, among them General Mathematics, General Science and Effective Communication. Grade 12 learners may still finish under the structure they started in; the school's subject list settles it.
What a session works from, and what it builds
Sessions run on the learner's own notebook, worksheets and returned quizzes. The tutor explains, checks and has the learner redo the work, and leaves the homework and performance tasks for the learner to write.
Science sessions work the concepts, the data and the lab write-ups, so the learner walks into the school's own practicals already knowing what each experiment is meant to show. GMRC and Christian Living sessions build the written work those subjects grade, while formation in values and faith stays with the home, the school and the parish. A late-quarter push steadies the next quiz, and the full change shows across the quarter that follows. Sessions are priced by the hour at the learner's grade level, and the figure is in writing before the first worksheet comes out.
Matching the subject to what actually went wrong
- Mathematics
Pick this when math grades keep slipping, especially if something from an earlier grade seems to be missing.
- Science
Pick this when a student understands the science and still loses points writing answers in English; if the mistakes are arithmetic, start with Mathematics.
- English
Pick this when reading, writing, grammar or speaking pulls the English grade down, or weak English is dragging Math and Science with it.
- Filipino
Pick this when a child who speaks Filipino easily still loses points on balarila, panitikan or formal composition.
- Araling Panlipunan
Pick this when a learner remembers the names and dates for AP and still scores low on questions that ask why.
- GMRC & Values Education
Pick this when a well-behaved child gets a low GMRC or Values Education grade because written reflections are not earning points.
- Christian Living
Pick this when the school grades Christian Living and the difficulty is memory work, set texts or projects, worked from the school's own syllabus.
Questions about Academics
Grades dropped in three subjects at once. Does that mean three tutors?
Usually one is enough to start. Grades that fall together often share one cause, like English vocabulary. The first session reads papers from each subject and names the one doing the most damage.
All my homework comes in English. Can a tutor walk me through it?
Yes, and maraming estudyante ang ganyan, kaya walang dapat ikahiya. The tutor works through the homework in English, the language it is graded in. Ask for explanations in Filipino too, and the tutor match takes that into account.
Is this online tutoring or home tutoring?
Both. On video the tutor shares the worksheet on screen and marks it live, in any province with a steady connection. For a home visit, send your barangay and city, and a tutor who teaches that exact subject near your street comes to the house.
Can you promise a higher grade by the end of the quarter?
We commit to steady one-to-one work on the topic the learner's last quarterly exam exposed, week after week, and to replacing the tutor at no charge whenever you want someone who explains that topic differently. The grade itself comes from the school's assessments, the learner's work between sessions and the weeks left in the quarter.
