Second paper of the season

ACET review that starts from the best diagnostic you already have: your UPCAT

ACET review with Eduline starts where your UPCAT paper left off. For AY 2027-2028 entry, Ateneo tested Metro Manila on 19 and 20 September 2026, about seven weeks after UPCAT, so the timing, the nerves and the section that ran out of clock on that August paper become the plan's first map.

What is

ACET review

ACET review is one-to-one preparation for the Ateneo de Manila College Entrance Test. For AY 2027-2028 entry, Ateneo tested Metro Manila applicants on 19 and 20 September 2026 and provincial centers from 26 September to 10 October 2026, and its admissions calendar carries the dates for each new intake. Two sources shape each plan: whatever your earlier exam already showed about your reading and problem-solving, and the requirements Ateneo itself publishes for applicants.

Key Points

  • Ateneo de Manila College Entrance Test, dated each cycle in Ateneo's admissions calendar
  • Lands in the thick of the first semester, so school requirements run right alongside it
  • Usually the second exam of a season that opens with UPCAT
  • Every claim on this page traces back to what Ateneo has published for applicants
  • Review priced by the hour, with the weeks after UPCAT planned and totalled on paper before you commit
How You Learn

Two ways to run it

The ACET weeks fill a Grade 12 calendar before any review is added

per session

Duration: 60-90 minutes

Online

Online suits the ACET run-up best. Quizzes, projects and requirements land in the same weeks as the review, and skipping the commute keeps every session on the calendar through a heavy school week.

  • No travel in the busiest stretch of the term
  • Shared workspace for showing working
  • Easy to add a short session near the date

per session

Duration: 90-120 minutes

At your home

Home sessions earn their place for a full timed run-through. Answering at a table, under a visible clock, plays out differently than answering through a screen. A tutor watching from beside the page can see exactly where the minutes went.

  • Timed papers under something like real conditions
  • Time use observed directly
  • A fixed anchor in a crowded month
Program Strengths

How we approach ACET

Built on what Ateneo publishes and what the UPCAT showed

  • Anchored to Ateneo's own announcements

Ateneo's own announcements set the calendar, and every detail it publishes for applicants goes straight into the plan. The rest of the review is built on the evidence already in hand: your UPCAT paper.

  • The UPCAT paper is the plan

If you already have a UPCAT paper, that single document tells us more than any mock exam we could write. Going through it line by line is usually worth more than any hour spent on new material.

  • Pacing before content

Most of what an entrance paper takes from a capable learner, it takes through the clock. Pacing trains quickly, and the weeks between UPCAT and ACET are room enough to train it well.

  • School grades protected through the ACET run-up

The ACET falls mid-semester, and some universities look at school grades. The review plan trims its own hours the moment a school subject starts to slip, and flags it to you first.

  • Ready for Ateneo's decision

Ateneo alone decides admission, weighing its own criteria against that year's applicant pool. The review makes sure your paper is the strongest version of your work when that decision is made.

  • It ends on the exam date

The arrangement has a finish line built into it. The plan closes on the day of the paper, with every hour before it aimed at that one sitting.

Program Levels

Where a learner is when ACET review starts

The answer depends almost entirely on how the UPCAT went

The most useful place to begin

Sat UPCAT and it went badly

An unpleasant UPCAT paper is worth more than a term of practice questions, because it shows exactly how this particular learner falls apart under timed conditions. Almost always the problem is narrower than it felt on the day.

Subjects:

What the UPCAT paper exposedThe section that ran out of timeError patterns across sectionsConfidence after a bad day

Focus Areas:

  • Diagnose from the real UPCAT paper
  • Fix the narrowest thing that costs the most points
  • Separate panic from not knowing
Maintain what the UPCAT proved

Sat UPCAT and it went fine

A learner who handled the UPCAT keeps the gains with a light weekly rhythm. The work narrows to keeping exam conditions fresh and lifting whichever subject came out weakest, so the Ateneo paper finds them as steady as the UP one did.

Subjects:

Weakest subject onlyTimed practice to stay sharpHolding school grades steadyNothing new introduced

Focus Areas:

  • A light weekly rhythm that keeps the edge
  • Protect what is already working
  • School requirements come first this month
No earlier paper to learn from

ACET is the first exam of the season

Some students reach the ACET with no UPCAT paper behind them. The starting task is a full timed paper under real conditions, so the ACET clock is already familiar by the time the actual test begins.

Subjects:

A full timed paper, earlyPacing and question triageSubject gaps the paper revealsExam-day routine

Focus Areas:

  • Conditions practiced before content
  • Two full papers before the real one
  • Start sooner than for a learner with the UPCAT behind them
Sharpening only

Two weeks out

With the date close, the sessions narrow to timing, careless-error checks and protecting sleep, the three things that still add points in the final fortnight. Every session in these two weeks sharpens what the learner already knows and walks them into the paper rested.

Subjects:

Full papers, timedCareless-error patternsExam-day logisticsRest treated as preparation

Focus Areas:

  • Sharpening what is already learned
  • Sleep protected deliberately
  • A fixed finish on the exam date

What the sessions work on

Ordered by what the earlier paper showed

Ateneo sets the ACET and publishes its own guidance for applicants. For AY 2027-2028 entry its admissions calendar set Metro Manila testing on 19 and 20 September 2026 and provincial testing from 26 September, with decisions by email in May 2027 (Ateneo admissions calendar, accurate as of 22 June 2026), and its testing-centers list added 3 and 10 October sittings at a few provincial sites (both pages read 26 September 2026). Each new intake's dates appear in that same calendar. The sessions follow Ateneo's guidance and your own UPCAT results, so every hour of study lands on the Ateneo paper you will sit.

  • Reading the earlier paper

Where the review starts when there is a UPCAT paper to read. What was left blank, what was rushed, and what was wrong in a pattern each point somewhere different, and together they set the order of the sessions.

    Topics

    • Unanswered questions and where they cluster
    • Errors that repeat
    • Where the clock ran out
    • Separating nerves from gaps
  • Mathematics

Usually the section with the deepest recoverable gaps, because they were laid years before Grade 12 and have been quietly costing points ever since.

    Topics

    • Algebra and equations
    • Geometry and measurement
    • Statistics and probability
    • Arithmetic fast enough not to cost time
  • Science

A wide review beats a narrow one here. Science on an entrance exam samples biology, chemistry, physics and earth science together, so ground covered counts more than depth in any one strand.

    Topics

    • Life science
    • Chemistry
    • Physics
    • Earth and space
  • Reading and language

Passages must be read and understood fast, and usage questions favor a quick reader. A slow reader can know every answer and still run out of time to mark it, which is a pacing problem.

    Topics

    • Comprehension under time pressure
    • Inference and purpose
    • Usage and sentence structure
    • Vocabulary in exam register
  • Pacing under a real clock

This is usually the gap a UPCAT paper reveals clearly. Two students can know the same material and still finish with different scores, because pacing trains the same way any other skill does.

    Topics

    • Reading the paper before starting it
    • Recognizing a time-consuming question
    • When a guess is correct strategy
    • Finishing, then checking
  • Holding school together

The ACET lands in the middle of the first semester. A learner who trades school requirements for practice papers can dent the grades some universities look at, so the plan keeps both moving together.

    Topics

    • Review fitted around school deadlines
    • Sessions fitted around exam weeks at school
    • Sleep as preparation
    • Grades held steady all month

Who It Is For

Who this is for

Four situations here, each needing a very different amount of ACET review

A learner rebuilding after UPCAT

This learner walked out of UPCAT rattled, with a few weeks left until ACET. The most useful material for the Ateneo paper already exists on that UPCAT answer sheet, and the list of things to fix is usually shorter than it feels.

Recommended:

Start from the real paperFix pacing before contentWeekly through to the date

A learner for whom Ateneo is the first choice

Everything rests on this one, which changes the emotional temperature more than the preparation. Worth a plan that protects sleep and school as deliberately as it covers subjects.

Recommended:

Full timed papers earlySleep and school protected explicitlyA fixed finish on the exam day

A learner taking ACET and USTET both

Two major tests in one season. One review serves both, and what they need separately is stamina and recovery between the two dates.

Recommended:

One plan covering both datesRecovery scheduled between themThe College Entrance page maps how UPCAT, ACET and USTET connect

A learner who has not applied

Ateneo closes the ACET application window about a month before the test (17 August 2026 for AY 2027-2028 entry). Confirm the application is filed first, so every hour of review goes toward a seat you already hold on the testing list.

What ACET review costs

One hourly rate covers the whole season, whichever format the ACET run-up ends up needing

From

₱600 / hour

Home visit, Metro Manila₱800 / hour
Online₱600 / hour
Home visit, provincial areas₱600 / hour

Per hour, one tutor with one learner. Home visits run at least 1.5 hours. Packages: 12 hours at 5% off, 24 hours at 10% off. A 20-hour entrance exam plan is available.

What actually moves the total for ACET is how many hours the weeks after UPCAT call for, and that traces straight back to the UPCAT paper. A learner who came through UPCAT steady keeps sharp on a light weekly rhythm, while one rebuilding pacing after a rough UPCAT, or meeting ACET as the first exam of the season, is looking at a fuller weekly plan. Format sets the rest of the difference: a home visit prices differently in Metro Manila than further out in the provinces, and an online session sits on its own line for learners skipping the commute in a crowded first semester. A home visit runs long enough to hold a real timed paper, and the packages reward a learner once the hours a plan needs are clear.

Common Questions

What ACET takers ask

The questions learners bring to us before the Ateneo paper

What is on the ACET? How long is it?

Ateneo publishes what an applicant needs to know for each intake, and the review is anchored to that official material, so eight weeks of study land on the test you will actually sit. Share whatever Ateneo has published for this intake, and the review gets built directly from that document.

I did badly in UPCAT. Is ACET worth attempting?

Yes, and a difficult UPCAT paper is the most useful thing you bring to it. It was one day under conditions most learners have never met, and the points lost usually went to timing and nerves. That paper shows exactly where you break down under the clock, and that is where the ACET work goes.

How many weeks of review does ACET need?

A few weeks separate UPCAT from ACET, and the plan fills them to fit the learner. A student who came through UPCAT steady stays sharp with a weekly session and one weak subject patched. A student who struggled gets those weeks used with intention, several sessions a week aimed at what the UPCAT paper showed. Describe how the UPCAT went and we set out the weekly rhythm that fits.

Can you guarantee admission to Ateneo?

The university decides admission using its own criteria, its available slots and the strength of everyone else applying that same year. What the review guarantees is the preparation: the UPCAT gaps closed, the timing rehearsed, and a learner who walks into the ACET sitting ready. A change of tutor midway through the review costs nothing: ask, and the replacement is arranged free.

I am sitting ACET and USTET too. Do I need two reviews?

One plan covers both. The subject ground underneath them overlaps heavily, and what needs attention across two dates is stamina and recovery, which the schedule handles. Ateneo tested from 19 September in the AY 2027-2028 cycle and UST announces its own testing batches; the College Entrance page shows how the whole season fits together.

Should I skip school to prepare?

Keep school running. The ACET falls mid-semester, teachers are grading requirements in those same weeks, and several universities factor school grades into admission. The review is planned around the school calendar, so the grades and the preparation move forward together.

How much does it cost?

The per-hour rate for ACET review is on this page, and it moves with format: a home visit prices one way in Metro Manila and another further into the provinces, while an online session sits on its own line. What that turns into for you depends on how many hours the weeks between UPCAT and the ACET actually need, which is mostly a question of how the UPCAT went. The exact plan and its total come to you on paper once we have gone through your UPCAT paper with you.

Send us the UPCAT paper, if there was one

Describe how UPCAT actually went: which sections were left blank, where the clock ran out, how you felt afterward. Add the ACET date and anything Ateneo has published. Someone here reviews all of that firsthand and lays out the ACET preparation that fits, how many hours a week that comes to, and who runs the sessions.
