TechPro track Senior High tutor for the Math that came along too
TechPro track Senior High tutoring covers the five core subjects this track shares with the Academic one, General Mathematics and General Science included, plus the written theory behind each specialization. Learners who chose TechPro partly to leave the Math behind meet it again in the first quarter of Grade 11, and that is where most of our sessions begin.

What is
TechPro track support
TechPro is one of the two Senior High tracks for Grade 11 and 12, built around a hands-on technical specialization. That specialization stays with the school: the workshop, the tools, and the supervised hours are a campus responsibility that tutoring was never built to replace. What brings a TechPro learner to tutoring is usually one of the five core subjects, sitting outside the specialization and needing its own explanation.
Key Points
Grades 11 and 12, Technical-Professional track
The same five core subjects as the Academic track, General Mathematics included
What used to be two separate tracks, Sports and Arts & Design, now sit inside this one
Hands-on technical work stays in the school's workshop; the tutor owns the theory and the written side
This page's 'from' figure depends on the level, whether it's a home visit or online, and your part of the Philippines; the confirmed number reaches you by email ahead of any commitment
How You Learn
How support is arranged
Built around a schedule that already includes practical hours
per session
Duration: 60-90 minutes
Online
Generally the workable option. A TechPro week already carries practical sessions and sometimes an immersion placement, so a session that costs no travel time is the one that lasts past the first month.
No travel on top of a practical day
Shared workspace for working through problems
Straightforward to reschedule around placements
per session
Duration: 90-120 minutes
At your home
Useful for a TechPro learner who needs someone present while working through written theory or a report for the specialization, catching an error as it happens. Sessions fit around a week that already has practical hours in it.
Written work corrected on the spot
A fixed slot between workshop days
Fewer distractions than a screen
Why Choose Us
How we work with this track
With a clear scope and full depth inside it
01
A clear scope, taught in depth
The practical half of TechPro runs in a workshop with an instructor. The tutor takes the theory, the calculation and the written assessment around it, and goes deep on every one.
02
The core subjects are treated as compulsory, because they are
General Mathematics and General Science apply to every Senior High learner under the strengthened curriculum. Any advice that this track escapes them is describing a structure that ended in June 2026.
03
Written scores separated from understanding
Skill with the hands and skill with a pen score on different criteria, and a TechPro learner can hold one without the other. The first session sorts out which gap is actually open before any plan gets built around it.
04
One subject at a time
TechPro weeks already carry practical hours. Booking three subjects produces three shallow efforts, so we fix the one that is failing and stop.
05
Teaching you can hold us to
The commitment here is teaching, and a free tutor replacement whenever you request one. Grades, qualifications and job offers are awarded by the school, the assessors and the employer, and the sessions prepare the learner for each.
06
Rate before booking
How many hours make sense here follows the pattern already showing up this term: a General Mathematics gap that keeps recurring tends to want a weekly slot, while exam-writing technique on the written subjects often only needs a session every other week. That same pattern decides whether the shorter or the longer package suits the learner, and the number for that case is put in writing before a session gets booked.

What TechPro learners actually ask for help with
Rarely the specialization; almost always the core subjects underneath it
01
The first quarter surprise
General Mathematics, Grade 11
By a distance the most common reason for the first message. A learner who chose this track expecting less mathematics meets a core subject that does not care which track they are on, frequently on top of gaps carried up from Junior High.

02
Where practical learners often lose points
The written core subjects
Learners strong with their hands sometimes underperform on subjects assessed by writing. They understand the work; the score goes to the written explanation of it. That gap responds quickly to being named.

The written side of every specialization
The theory behind the practical
Every technical specialization has written theory attached: calculation, safety, standards, procedure. The tutor works on all of it at the table, while the workshop hours stay with the specialization instructor.

Grade 12, deciding what comes next
A TechPro diploma keeps university on the table; the specific entrance requirements just depend on which school and which course a Grade 12 learner is aiming for. The guidance office and the university itself hold that information first hand, and the tutor helps the learner prepare for whatever they require.

What the tutor teaches on this track
The core subjects, the theory and the written work, in full
A struggle at the workbench belongs to the specialization instructor, who has the tools and the supervised hours. Everything that happens on paper belongs to the tutor, and that is where the sessions go deep.

In-Person Tutoring
At home, for the core subjects and written theory
A home visit fits a TechPro learner who wants General Mathematics and written theory worked through at the table. Name your barangay or district in a message and the reply introduces the tutor who covers it. The specialization's hands-on hours stay in the school workshop.
Who Should Join
Who this is for
Four TechPro learners, each with a first move of their own
01
A learner blindsided by General Mathematics
Chose this track partly to leave heavy math behind and found it in the core anyway. The most common case, and one that responds well because the problem is usually older than Grade 11.
Good for:Diagnostic on the Junior High foundationOne subject, weekly, until it settlesStop once the grades hold
02
A practical learner marked on paper
Can do the thing and cannot write about the thing. The points are going to the explanation, and that is a teachable and fairly quick fix once somebody names it.
Good for:Work from returned written assessmentsCommand words and scoring guidesEvery other week is often enough
03
A learner whose trouble is in the workshop
When the trouble sits inside the specialization itself, the specialization instructor leads, with the equipment and the supervised hours the workshop needs. The tutor takes the written theory and the assessment that goes with it, so the learner walks into the workshop better prepared.
Good for:Workshop skills with the specialization instructorTutoring on the written theoryA theory plan timed to the next assessment
04
A learner who thinks they are in the lesser track
TechPro carries a stigma some learners absorb before they have given the track a chance, and it shows up in effort. The first session opens with the learner's own goals: the certification the track leads to, the work it opens, the college courses it feeds. Once the track feels like theirs, tutoring on its subjects moves fast.

What TechPro tutoring costs
One hour with a tutor assigned to a core subject: General Mathematics, the written subjects, or the theory behind the specialization
From
₱500 / hour
Home visit, Metro Manila
₱700 / hour
Online
₱500 / hour
Home visit, provincial areas
₱500 / hour
Per hour, one tutor with one learner. Home visits run at least 1.5 hours. Packages: 12 hours at 5% off, 24 hours at 10% off.
General Mathematics in Grade 11 usually needs a weekly session until the grades settle, while the written subjects and the specialization's theory often hold on every other week. A home visit prices differently from an online session, and a Metro Manila address differently from a provincial one. Stacking hours into the 12- or 24-hour package lowers the per-hour rate for whichever cadence fits the subject. The rate for Grade 11 or 12 arrives in writing before we schedule anything.
Common Questions
What TechPro learners ask
The first question is almost always the same one
I am on TechPro. Why am I taking General Mathematics?
+
General Mathematics is one of five subjects the Strengthened Senior High School Curriculum requires from every Grade 11 and 12 learner, specialization aside. That requirement began with the June 2026 rollout, which replaced an older setup where a learner's track choice could quietly shrink the math load. Nothing about being on the technical-professional side removes a learner from that list.
Can you tutor the technical subject itself?
+
Yes, the knowledge half of it: calculation, safety standards, procedure, reading a diagram or a work order, and the written assessments the specialization sets. That half is where TechPro learners most often lose marks, and the tutor works through it step by step from the learner's own modules. The hands-on hours run in the school's workshop, with its equipment and its supervisor, and the sessions send the learner into each one already knowing the procedure and the numbers behind it.
Is TechPro a worse track than Academic?
+
TechPro and Academic lead to different destinations: a degree on one path, workplace qualifications and paid skills on the other. The hours a TechPro learner spends in an actual workshop each week are real hours toward a real outcome. Whether this destination fits a particular learner is for that learner and the guidance office to settle together, with whoever supports them at home in the conversation.
Can I still go to university after TechPro?
+
Plenty of TechPro graduates go straight into a degree program; the track on its own is not what stands in the way. What a specific course or university asks for is that institution's call, and it varies between schools, so the answer comes from the source. The school's guidance office and the university's own admissions page carry the answer that actually applies.
I do well in the workshop and badly on tests. What is going on?
+
Usually the assessment is marking the explanation, and the doing itself earns nothing on paper. It is a common pattern with practical learners, and the knowledge is already there, which is why it responds faster than most learners expect once someone works on it directly using their own returned papers.
When is the right time to start?
+
Start early if the problem is General Mathematics in Grade 11: the subject builds on itself, and most of what is actually broken predates Senior High. If instead the gap is exam-writing technique, a short focused block tends to close it, since technique gaps move faster than a whole subject does. Describe which one is happening and the size of commitment follows from that.
What does it cost?
+
This page carries an actual 'from' figure, tied to the grade and the core subject in question. A home visit costs differently than an online session and runs at minimum an hour and a half, while stacking hours into a 12- or 24-hour block lowers what each hour costs. Whatever applies to the case gets typed up and emailed over before the learner sits down for the first session.
Tell us which subject is the problem, and whether it is on paper
Say which grade, which subject, and whether the trouble is in the workshop or on paper that gets marked. From there it's a short reply: sometimes it points you to the specialization instructor instead, and sometimes it comes back with a grade-level rate and a tutor to meet.
